BACKGROUND / ACHTERGROND As
a child I used to pick up little stones from the fields around the farm
where I spent most of my childhood time. That was probably the very beginning... My sleeping years came soon after, during my school time and my first 'adult' years as a working man I was pretty much in 'a coma'. Let's say a stone was sleeping within. Not knowing what I was supposed to do with my own life, I was desperately searching, I was looking for something,. and although I did consider a lot (the question "Why?" was always nearby) answers didn't come because I wanted it. In the last 9 years I received a few wake up calls, unannounced.. Life experiences that make a difference. During my time in London I was slowly getting in contact with my own nature again.. and drawing was the first connection to make that important turn. Leaving London behind I started to follow some sculpture, drawing and modelling classes, soon I could arrange my own studio and this is where I am standing... My hands were waiting for motion...
